Flight

The butterfly weed on the front walkway attracts a thirsty monarch. 

 I watch her take several quick sips from the bright orange flowers.

Her wings are somewhat worn from flight, 

and she finds herself in the most interesting positions.

Her movement is purposeful and carefree at the same time.
